New Samsung ES30 anxiously awaits its place in future landfills

IFA often brings a few new cameras, but it's not always the cameras photography enthusiasts want. Samsung has announced a new "e-waste" camera, the new ES30 point and shoot. Why add another ES-series more-of-the-same P&S camera to the landfills? We do not know - please ask the manufacturers :)

The specs are very predictable, 12mp, 5X lens (starting at 27mm), SDHC, AA batteries, and such. The camera has so far been announced in Europe with a starting price of 150 euro. This brings the number of new cameras in 2010 to 186. Will we hit 200 before or after Photokina? :)
