Interview with Panasonic at CNet Asia
There's always something interesting in the weekly photography newsletter from C|Net A|sia. In this edition, among other things, they feature an interview with Panasonic they conducted during the Lumix launch in Japan last month. If you had been holding out for a new L1/L10 DSLR, hold out no more - quote "has no immediate plans to release a new dSLR despite the long hiatus". Their prime target these days, they say, are mirrorless and premium compacts.
The interview also talks about Panasonic's market share in Asia and their confession about the US and German markets. They also discuss the potential of a "conflict" between the LX-series and the M43rds cameras. Read all about it.
If you are a fan of interviews, there will be plenty more coming out during the Photokina trade show, where the various photography and technology websites will meet and greet and interview the camera manufacturer representatives.
