New Sony Cybershot T99 continues "bijou" T-series with 14mp 1/2.3"
Sony has now revealed a brand new model in their busy T-series of ultracompact fashionable point-and-shoot digital cameras with folded-optics. Despite the folded-optics, they continue to carry the Carl Zeiss names, which of course you can also find in cameraphone and webcam lenses. The latest model is the Cybershot T99, and the name likely signals the end of the T-(two-digit-number) naming scheme. It follows up on the T900 and T90 duo announced in February of 2009.
The new T99 joins the club of 14mp 1/2.3" digital cameras, and has a 4X optical zoom lens (25-100mm eq) with stabilization and the Carl Zeiss brand. Other features include 720p video, 3-inch LCD display, 230 CIPA, your choice of five body colo(u)rs, and a starting price of $250.
