New Top Selling DSLRs snapshot (Canon T2i feeding frenzy)
Time flies and it has been nine days since our previous update, but thankfully we caught it before it slipped further away. We have a new snapshot of the top selling DSLRs at Amazon. If this is the first time you check this, be sure to check the About/FAQ page for more details.
Canon T2i feeding frenzy in the Top 5
Amazon had windows of the two main Canon T2i kits being in-stock, and the ensuing feeding frenzy was enough to skyrocket both of these kits in the Top 25. Both kits are currently sold-out from Amazon itself. (A few other retailers have them in-stock, check the T2i stock status page for more).
Panasonic GF1 kits "recover"
The release of the Panasonic G2 took some air out of the sails of the other M43rds cameras, but now that the initial demand has been satisfied, the GF1 kits are picking up momentum again.
And the GF1 w/14-45mm kit is getting an additional boost. Amazon has a new promotion where you get the optional external viewfinder LVF1 ($150 value) for FREE if you buy it together with the GF1 zoom kit.
Pentax K-x victim of its own success
The Pentax K-x has been a victim of its own success, as supplies of the various kits are running out, which means prices at the retailers who do have them in-stock have been going up.
On the other hand the K-7 makes a Top 25 return, as the K-7 body-only has dropped to $783 as part of a Father's Day promotion by Pentax.
Olympus E-PL1 kits not listed in Top 100 due to technical glitch
We presume due to a technical glitch of sorts, the three Olympus E-PL1 kits are not included in the Top 100. This is beyond our control and we hope Amazon fixes it soon.
