In development: New Sony camcorder with APS-C HD CMOS sensor and E and A mount compatibility
Mirroring (no pun intended) the Panasonic AG-AF100 (an interchangeable lens camcorder with a Micro Four Thirds mount), Sony has now announced that they are working on a new interchangeable lens camcorder system themselves that will be using the same Sony APS-C HD CMOS sensor found in the just announced Sony NEX cameras and E-mount. The new interchangeable lens camcorder system will take E-mount lenses (NEX-series) and the Alpha lenses with a mount adapter. See more at Sony Europe (via Sony Insider).
And now a sneak peek in the development of this camcorder at the Sony Electronics blog, including a 200-second YouTube video.
