New Sony 14mp 1/2.3" sensor with smallest pixel and double the microlens fun
If you cringe at the mention of smaller pixels, cringe now :) Sony Semiconductor has revealed a new 14mp 1/2.3" CCD sensor, the ICX681SQW, which uses a two-story (not a technical term) microlens architecture to trade off decreasing the pixel-size to 1.43[mu]m diagonal.
