New Canon SD4000 (Ixus 300HS) w/backlit CMOS sensor

Things were quiet for the last two months, but apparently Canon decided to announce a new camera the same day as Sony, here is the brand new Canon IXUS 300HS, aka Elph SD4000, an Ixy model with a backlit CMOS sensor and manual exposure control (oh my!)

The camera is now available for pre-order at Amazon for $350.
