Nikon 24mm f1.4 versus Sigma 24mm and 28mm f1.8

The new Nikon 24mm f1.4 lens costs about four times as much as Sigma 24mm f1.8. So, which one should an interested photographer get, with price being a realistic concern? Josh Archer compares the Nikon lens with the Sigma 24mm and 28mm f1.8 lenses. Full-size samples taken with each lens are included, along with sharpness, vignetting, bokeh, handling, and of course brick-wall comparisons. Conclusions are at the bottom, and as usual, we won't reveal them here.

The Nikon 24mm f1.4 also got reviewed last week by Ryan Brenizer. For more lens review action, be sure to check the lens review diary.

UPDATE (Thur April 15): But wait, there's even more! Quesabesde just published their hands-on report with this lens, including full-size samples, handling, and more. The Nikon D3s was used as the "hostess" of the lens.
