Retro Pentax Optio i-10 causes loose cheek involuntarily
According to the computer-translation of the retro-looking Pentax Optio i-10 review at Japanese website DC Watch Impress, the i-10 caused a "loose cheek involuntarily" :)
There are about 14 real-world full-size JPEG samples taken with the camera, as well as multiple views of the camera body, including side-by-sides with the Auto 110 Super.
Of course inside the retro-shell one finds typical compact LiIon P&S specs, there is nothing magical on the inside - a 12mp 1/2.3" sensor and 5X (28-140mm lens) with CCD shift. I think we've seen these specs a few hundred times before ;-)
We haven't seen any other reviews of the camera, but it has began shipping, and one Amazon shopper is very unhappy with the camera. The prices at Amazon are in the $260s (opening price was $300), while OneCall offers a bonus bag and warranty for around $280. As with all new "unvetted" cameras, they are initially suited for the early-adopters and camera-reviewers until more is known...
