Curiosity Factor: Another Panasonic FT2 (TS2) review
The Panasonic FT1 (TS1) was Panasonic's first attempt at a waterproof/elementproof camera and also their first modern-era folded-optics camera. However, the camera exceeded expectations by co-winning the dpreview waterproof group test.
Fast-forward to 2010 and Panasonic has released a second model, the FT2 (TS2). The camera already received a review in early February at Photography Blog. This week we had two more reviews coming out.
First, hot off the e-presses today a 17-part review at Digital Camera Info, which includes comparison to the Canon D10, Pentax W80 and Casio EX-G1.
And for the ISO-portrait fans, two weeks ago Fotopolis posted an ISO 80 to 1600 comparison (click on each picture to get to the full-size).
The FT2 has began shipping at its opening price of $400, while the 2009 model, the FT1 has dropped to under $250.
