Canon Japan says 70-200 f2.8 II shortages but lens is in-stock at many places
Canon Japan has announced shortages for the brand new 70-200mm f2.8L IS II lens because they say demand is exceeding supply (via computer-translated DC Watch).
We are not sure if this only affects the Japanese market or future flow, because a quick look at the major internet retailers shows this lens in-stock and shipping at B&H Photo, Amazon (3rd parties), OneCall, Adorama, and Calumet Photo. Unless I am missing something, this does not look like a shortage!
