The Sigma SD15 is really coming says Sigma

Two years ago the Sigma SD15 was "coming" at Photokina 2008. Fast forward to today, and the Sigma SD15 is still coming! Sigma has now officially rebooted the SD15, and this time, unlike all the many other times, this time, they (think they) will get it right (sounds like a song?).

Performance and specs have been some of the issues with previous Sigma DSLRs, so Sigma attempts to address these issues by offering a number of upgrades:
+ 3fps with a buffer of 21 RAW
+ True II engine
+ 77-segment AE sensor
+ 3-inch LCD display (460K)
+ embracing the SD/SDHC memory card (no SDXC?)
+ new user interface
+ etc

The sensor remains the same, and that may be a sore point for some as the world of megapixelation has not stopped going up, up and away. Other features include 100K shutter, 5-point autofocus, same battery as SD14, LCD info-panel on top, and things like that.

As usual, neither price or estimated shipping date have been revealed. See you at PMA 2012 :)
