Tamron 60mm f2 Di-II macro review at Alpha Mount World

Alpha Mount World has published their take of the Tamron 60mm f2 Di-II macro lens. Their review focuses on the Sony version using the A700 and A900 DSLRs (read the review for explanation). As usual, we won't spoil their findings here, but if you are in a hurry or your iPad is running out battery, you can jump to the conclusions.

This is the first "digital" (APS-C/DX) version of the popular full-framer 90mm f2.8 lens that Tamron has been making for a while now. It is currently available in Canon, Nikon and Alpha.

Others have recently reviewed this lens as well, including:
+ Bob Atkins
+ PhotoZone
+ PDN Gear Guide
+ Photocrati

For more lens reviews, presented in reverse-chronological order, be sure to check the lens review diary

The lens is available at B&H Photo and Amazon and other retailers for around $500 to $550 depending on mount. There is also a $25 mail-in rebate on this lens good until April 30. For whatever reason, there is a $65 delta between the lens-mounts at Amazon, with the Nikon version being the lowest, at $480 after rebate.
