Recapping today's Samsung big announcements
Showing that they are seriously behind the NX-system, Samsung has revealed five new lenses for 2010, including two welcome primes, a slim-zoom, the obligatory 18-200mm superzoom, and a puzzling non-IS version of the 14-45mm kit-lens.
On the compact camera front, they announced four promising cameras without the usual attack of the clones - they already announced those earlier in the year :)
+ Samsung EX1 (TL500) - 10mp 1/1.7" sensor, RAW, f1.8 lens, 24-72mm, etc
+ Samsung TL350 (WB2000) - RAW, 1080p, 24-120mm lens, analog gauges
+ Samsung AQ100 / WP10 - waterproof camera with folded optics
+ Samsung SL605 - $130 but value-packed
+ also two 1080p camcorder sticks, with 1/2.3" CMOS sensors - the U20 and U15
With PMA starting on Sunday, manufacturers are having a hard time - since the day before the trade show happens to be a Saturday, not exactly the best day to make a new product announcement. But that didn't scare away Samsung who made, quite possibly, one of the most important announcements of their camera-career.
We have added these to the new cameras of 2010, bringing up the tally to 115 for 2010 so far :)
We have also re-arranged the order of the posts below, in order of importance/interest...
