Panasonic dethrones Canon and Pentax returns to Top 100 in new Amazon Top Sellers update

Panasonic de-thrones Canon!
It is very rare for Canon to be dethroned from the top spots at Amazon, but it looks like the discounting of the Panasonic TZ7 and the FZ38, combined with the uncertainty of the pending new Canon announcements for the PMA season has pushed the Panasonic models into the top five.

Once upon a time Canon was walking on water among Amazon buyers, however, the 2009 camera-season has shaken off Canon's "can't do no wrong". Case in point, the SD940 IS has just now made a top 25 debut!

Pentax returns to the Top 100
Pentax had been absent from the Top 100 for a while now, but thanks to a stable supply of the Pentax K-x zoomier two-lens-kit (18-55/55-300) at around $650, it has jumped up to #61. But the camera has switched to "ships in 1 to 2 months" which means sales are going to slow down.

Please note that Amazon only shows rankings based on individual camera kits, and they do not offer rankings grouped by camera model. Needless to say it would be nice if that was available, however, we don't have magic powers...
