New Fuji Z700 (Z707) is SuperCCD-EXR stylish P&S with 3.5" touchscreen and 720p

Fuji experimented with this model with the 2009 Japan-only Z300fd model, and after the experiment, the new Z700 is ready for global prime-time!

It marks the return of SuperCCD sensors to the "bijou" compact P&S line, and it marries the 12mp 1/2" SuperCCD-EXR sensor with a 3.5-inch (460k) touch-screen display with dual-direction GUI, a wavy folded-optics style, and a 5X CCD-shift-stabilized lens. The lens is 35-175mm eq (f3.9-f4.7).

Other features include 720p video, NP-45A LiIon battery, SD/SDHC, etc...

The camera is expected to be released in March with an opening price of $280. It is available for pre-order at Amazon in your choice of three fashionable body colors.
