The CES 2010 round-up of after-show round-ups

With CES now in the rear-view-mirror, the next two major stops are PMA in late February and the re-imagined Japanese trade-show CP+ shortly after that. As you may have noticed, a number of the cameras announced at CES were either US or European annies, they have yet to be officially revealed in Japan.

Now it is time to round-up the various CES round-ups from the blogo-sphere. We will have another round-up of hands-on previews of specific products. Expect that tonight or tomorrow, partially so as to give websites and blogs time to post more of their previews online.

We start at Pixsylated picking some of the gear that in their opinion are part of the future of photography. Included are cameras of course, along with a solar-DSLR charger, iPhone-controlled drones, camera-mask and more.

Next up, Photo Induced induces a round-up of the action from a photographer-priority perspective and inducts some of the gear in the "Hall of Potentially Interesting". They close the round-up with a now-dead rock-n-roller who was inducted in the rock-n-roll hall of fame :)

Adorama's Tech Tock blog takes manufacturers to task for going crazy with the 14mp 1/2.3" sensor on consumer-tier basic P&S digital cameras, and writes of a Polaroid apology - among other things. You can also check part #1 where they have some strong recommendations for the moving-target that is known as PMA.

Photography Blog has editor picks from the blast of 56 new cameras, including three cameras and one lense. Teaser: The Alpha A450 is not in the list.

Digital Camera Review rounds up the connected cameras. There's three of them in this batch. [NEW]

Tech and Gadgets
Sure, there's a lot of interesting and promising stuff announced, but why ignore the crap? Engadget decided to pick their favorite crappy gear revealed at CES. A polar bear wearing pink high-heels? Almost...

Crunch Gear picks their favorites from the Vegas week.

Slash Gear (no, not a blog for slash-movies) rounds-up the tablet action which was quite busy with e-book readers and tablets of all sorts appearing or being promised. They also round up the week.

Ars Technica looks at the netbooks, which are getting squeezed between cheap-laptops and the upcoming tablet-a-thon. Included is the Nokia Booklet 3G creature.

3D TVs were the craze, and one Gimzodo blogger self-hates.

Numbers-wise, Gear Log points out that the attendance numbers actually exceeded expectations and beat 2009, despite fears of the opposite.
