Sony A550 review at Digital Camera Review
Sony's Alpha DSLRs are in a strange position. There are so many of them, yet there are so few of them. With so many overlapping models, it makes it harder for both consumers and reviewers to pick one. But Digital Camera Review picked one, they just posted their review of the Alpha A550, the one with the 14mp CMOS sensor. ISO comparisons as usual on page #2, followed by conclusions and samples. We won't spoil the findings here.
With the invisible hand of the market tied behind its back by Sony Price Police, the two camera kits are at $950 and $1050 respectively at just about every authorized Sony dealer, giving them a price-disadvantage over the rest of the market for photographers not already invested in the Alpha mount (invisible hands have backs?).
