Nikon D800 rumor+chatter round-up

The Nikon D700 [reviews, diary] was announced in July 2008, and if it follows the two-year cycle like the D3/D300 power-duo, then we should have a follow-up or replacement at or before Photokina 2010.

However, DSLR Gossip says expect a Nikon D800 to come out at PMA 2010, with a 18mp FF sensor.

Denton points to the latest Hogan's predictions speculating a D800 name as well. Hogan's predictions are, as always, discussed in long threads at the dpreview Neekon forums.

The NikonDP blog also speculates based on a D800 name.
