New Panasonic FX66 (FX68) follows FX40 (FX48) with 14mp sensor

Exactly one year after the FX40 (FX48) was announced, Panasonic has revealed a new 14mp 1/2.3" replacement, the new FX66 (FX68), which maintains the 5X (25-125mm eq) Leica DC Vario-Elmarit lens with optical stabilization.

It has a 2.7-inch (230K) display, AF assist light, SDXC support, 720p video, and things like that.

The initial production output is 65,000 units per month according to Panasonic Japan. Their P&S compacts are quite popular in Japan, where Panasonic is typically in the top three in P&S market share.
