Olympus E-P2 review at Steve Huff, GF1 climbs the Himalayas, and other stories
Steve Huff Photo is back with a brand new review - this time it is the Olympus E-P2 that goes under the microscope. This is an experiential-type of review, so do not expect Imatests and charts. The reviewer compares the E-P2 with both the E-P1 and the Leica X1. Web-size samples are shown. The conclusions and pros/cons are towards the bottom of the page, but as usual, we won't spoil the fun here by revealing them.
In other Pen-action, Joe Farace published his Olympus E-P1 at Shutterbug - the website, which you can also find in the print-edition of the magazine.
Meanwhile, on the GF1 front, we learn via Eolake of a GF1 field test in the Himalayas by Craig Mod. The photographer and camera spent 16 days there. In addition to the text-based review, he has a video gallery - taken with the GF1 of course - documenting his adventures.
Iansky has picked up a GF1 and shares some web-size images. He is very impressed with the autofocus-speed.
But M43rds is not limited to M43rds lenses only. Thanks to a variety of lens-adapters, you can use a number of different lenses on your M43rds cameras. This growing thread at the mu-43.com forums already has four pages of pictures taken with "alternative" lenses - we see Zeiss, Leica, Zuiko, Nokton, Dallmeyer, Hexanon and more!
