This deal is dead again. It briefly returned in-stock for a little bit but it is gone again. But there are some good news, the K-x w/18-55 + 55-300mm is back down to $669.

The deal has returned! We have a nice holiday discount for you out there! This is a limited time offer (we do not know when it expires) - you can get the <Pentax K-x w/18-55mm, white color, for $510, sold and shipped by Amazon.com! This requires the use of a promotional code. Please pay attention to the details if you are not a veteran Amazon.com shopper!

1. Visit the white K-x w/18-55mm page. Notice the "Save $50 Instantly" box in the middle of the page. There you will see a promotional coupon code. Use cut+paste to put the promotional code in your buffer
2. Add the camera to cart - camera must be sold and shipped by Amazon.com itself, not 3rd parties
3. Click "Proceed to Checkout"
4. On the right side of the page, under "Have any gift cards...", paste or type the promotional code and hit Apply
5. The promotional code is GWFC2BUP as of the time of writing
6. Adjust the shipping method to your liking (qualifies for free shipping)
7. Place the Order if satisfied. Close the browser window if you change your mind.

After you complete Step #6 (and select free shipping), and with a camera price of $560, this is how your Amazon Checkout price box should look like. If you don't see the $50 discount, it means there is something wrong. Do not proceed! You cannot fix it in "post"!

How about the other Pentax K-x kits?
We tried all the standard kits at Amazon, and the only other one that accepts the promotional discount is the red Pentax K-x w/18-55mm. However, the price of the red kit is $632 - $50 = $582. This was selling for $550 a few days ago. But if you are in love with the RED camera color, this is the best price right now.
