As the Micro Four Thirds World turns: E-P1 action, new reviews
Micro Four Thirds is growing much faster than Four Thirds, even though it had much less lead-up visibility and banging of the drums. Don't look now, but there are five cameras out already!
We start with the camera that "broke out" Micro Four Thirds to the "non-Believers", the E-P1. Japanese website DC Watch decided to experiment with the Art Filters, showing full-size test and real-world pictures. Sure, some of the purists may look down on these, but they are just a camera setting away, so why not use them? :)
Staying with the E-P1, and as promised last week, the first part of an E-P1 series by Eamon Hickey has gone live at TOP. This episode talks about the photographer's preferred set-up for the camera and also touches upon the topic of EVF vs OVF. There are two more parts coming on Wednesday and Thursday, so stay tuned.
We close the E-P1 mini-round-up with a new review by NeoCamera, using their rather unique style. The review includes some eye-candy for the pixel-peepers - ISO comparison between the E-P1, the GF1 and the Pentax K7.
On the G-front, PDN Gear Guide published their take on the under-the-radar GH1, while Ben Long wrote his magazine-size review of the GF1 for MacWorld.
