Weekly digest, lens reviews, and contest coming up

Another week has gone by, but the manufacturers don't even look at the calendar any more. We continue to get new gear - from three different manufacturers this week. We summarized the week that was in the five minute rewind.

This was a relatively quiet week in terms of lens reviews, and most of the action concentrates on primes. And one of them primes costs $10,000! See it all at the Lens Review Diary.

New Photography contest going live on Sunday!
This being the start of the holiday season, we decided to start a new weekly photography contest. This is a very simple and fun contest, no rights grab whatsoever, and you could enter in mere seconds if you already have your pictures online (flickr, smugmug, picture-blog, etc) and properly tagged.

Instead of having one contest with one grand prize, we will be having weekly contests, thus more people winning prizes. We are starting modestly, with the winner getting a $25 e-certificate.
