Walking the streets of Hong Kong with the Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 Di-II VC
Other than perhaps primes, constant-aperture zooms are very desirable to have, but often they are in disagreement with one's bank account. And that's where TamTokSig come to the rescue! With the advent of APS-C, there was a mordant need for APS-C constant-aperture zooms. One such zoom is the Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 Di-II VC. And this very lens took a ride on the Nikon D300 and toured the streets of Japan Hong Kong. DC Watch has the full-size sample pictures.
The lens goes for about $450 without stabilization and around $650 with VC (stabilization, aka vibration correction) - see Amazon et al for availability.
