Nikon D3s gets closer to release (and other stories)
Although not set in stone, typically when B&H Photo starts accepting orders of a particular camera, it means that the actual release is just around the corner. And B&H Photo has just started accepting D3s orders. It is important to note the distinction here, they are accepting orders, not pre-orders.
(If you are the uptight type, please skip this paragraph!) Camera talk can get very serious and heavy at times, so it is great to see some people with a sense of humor. One such instance is this very special Nikon D3s video preview posted at Photography Review by Bob Scott. Bob Scott is such an uber-photographer that Nikon gave him a very special super-sized edition of the camera to create his preview with :-)
We are not sure what the reason behind posting full-size review-purpose sample pictures with completely-wiped-out EXIF data is, but if you can take that leap of faith, ephotozine has posted an overnight preview of the Nikon D3s. This is a hands-on first impressions look at the camera, not a review like the title over there says.
And now to the video mode of the D3s. A 5D user infiltrates the Nikon world under the cover of night, and posts a very high ISO video sample - and shares his impressions on the video feature and how it compares with the Canon DSLR-Video offerings.
Next, FotoActualidad points us to sample pictures from Japan.
