New Leica M7 Hermes gives haters one more reason

Hard-core Leica photographers have been trying to make the photographic case in favor of Leica for years, be it the inspiration factor, the lenses, the German engineering. But when Leica comes out with ornament-cameras like the brand new M7 Hermes, it makes their case nearly impossible.

And it should be noted that in the press release (see link above), Leica tries to explain the absence of the Red Dot ("roundel"). Our translation of that statement? Their engineers were too embarrassed to have the Red Dot on this new PETA-darling bijou-film-camera, so they "designed" it away :)
