Four new Canon 7D reviews, a horror show and more
Now time for a Canon 7D catch-up-a-thon! We start in the MotherLand of most digital cameras, where Akihabara News posts their review and it is not a red carpet parade. This is of course a gadget-blog review, not a dpreview-style diatribe.
Next we move to the BJoP where super-guru David Kilpatrick has published his review which you can see in this text-only single-page article. The N-word comes up, and it will be interesting to see how the pro-more-megapixel-crowd spins this :) And you can find out by reading this growing discussion thread in the dpreview forums.
And from that thread we jump over to a duet review by Darwin and Samantha at Darwin Wiggett. The review has apparently sparked a firestorm, as the comments section below the review is longer than review itself. Among other things, diffraction talk! Their review also sparked a firestorm at Canon Rumors.
Next we go to Neutral Day where they have posted their findings. Conclusions on page #8, full size samples available via flickr. Read on to find out what they found out!
On the OUCH! front, Michael Willem's 7D dropped on concrete floor but bounced back thankfully.
Of DSLRs and Video
Next, it's horror movie time as the PP Flash blog features the "Dead Season" indie horror movie shot with the EOS 7D. Horror after they pixel-peeped ISO 3200? (just kidding!)
This is not a joke, the 7D along with the 5DMk2 combined to shoot part of the occasionally-funny variety show Saturday Night Live. Press release details via Lens Flare et al.
