Curiosity factor: Samsung TL225 review at DigitalCameraReview
Samsung has certainly gotten the attention of the gadget-blog world with their two-screen (front and back) digital cameras, the TL225 (ST550) and TL220 (ST500). So now the top model of the two, the TL225, which has a touch-screen on the back, has gotten quite possibly its most high-profile review yet, at Digital Camera Review.
You can find their usual ISO comparison on page #2, and conclusions, which of course we won't spoil here, on page #3.
As some of you old-digi-timers may recall, this is not the first time Samsung experimented with screen positioning. Their big daddy Samsung Pro815 (eBay) raised a few eyebrows by adding a second display on the top of the camera that could show live view as well as the traditional status information. Simon of dpreview found this feature "remarkably useful" on page #2 of the dpreview review back in December 2005.
In terms of availability, the TL225 is fluctuating between $300 to $330 at Amazon, while the non-touchscreen screen model, the TL220, floats between $250 to $280.
