Magazine rumor of Sony A700 replacement (while A700 drops to $750)

The Alpha Mount World forums have spotted a spiked rumor in the November 2009 issue of Popular Photography (available at news-stands or via Zinio.com ($)) for a replacement of the Sony A700. You can find it on page #92, towards the bottom, where they "strongly suspect ... a replacement soon"! No rumored specs are provided. (via FotoActualidad)

And the prices of the Sony Alpha A700 are certainly not disagreeing with this rumor! A quick look around the internets reveals some noticeable price-drops:

+ refurbished A700 with 18-70mm DT for $700 at Tigerdirect

Already a number of retailers have ran out or show "limited availability" on the Sony Alpha A700 kits.
