New PhotoPlus Expo round-up

Time to catch up once again with some of the latest happenings from the Photo Extra Plus (okay, PhotoPlus Expo) trade show in the NYC.

Gadgets Galore
PDN Pulse spotted this remote-controlled helicopter on the trade show floor. This device is created by Jason Lam. You can learn more about his device at his website SkyShutter.com.

Video and Audio
John Harrington has a new 12-minute video recap of yesterday's trade show action, including visits to the US Copyright Office guest-booth, PhotoShelter, Orbis Ring and Black Rapid Camera strap.

Adorama's TeckTock podcast has a special edition, featuring audio interviews from Photo Plus. You can find it on iTunes.

Booth Visits
P3 News has visited lots of booths, posting pictures from each visit. And Pentax fans will be thrilled to know that the K7 is used for P3's trade show coverage!

PhotoInduced posted their recap of what caught their attention on day #2 of the show.

Vimeo has been making some in-roads in the busy world of online video, and PDN Pulse talks about their new desktop uploading software that is coming out in beta.

Trade shows around the world
We start in France, where Focus Numerique has an 8-minute video recapping Le Salon de la Photo trade show that finished a couple of days ago. Alors! Included is a video hands-on of la Leica X-Une, et Leica M-Neuf. Dance music accompanies the video so make it full-screen and dance along :)

Also happening now is the Fotopolis EXPO in Poland, you can see some of the action at Fotopolis, which shows Sony's new "test bed" for cameras :)

Meanwhile, in San Francisco, the Re:Frame workshops are taking place and Cameratown has been summarizing them, giving readers a virtual experience summary.
