Canon 7D helps review the versatile Canon 15-85mm EF-S IS lense
If you frequently check the lens review diary you may have seen this already, but if not, fear not! PhotoZone has posted their review of the new Canon 15-85mm f3.5-5.6 EF-S IS lens, which was announced on September 1st 2009. As usual, we won't spoil their findings, so be sure to check it out!
And this is a double-bonus for Canon users, as the camera used for helping with the review was the EOS 7D, along with the Canon 50D! They have published six full-size JPEGs taken with this camera and lens combo.
The lens itself is shipping from multiple third-party sellers at Amazon for $800 including Cameta, 17th Street and J&R. Amazon herself has it in pre-order status. Also shipping the lens is from Adorama and B&H Photo.
Some Canon 7D action
In other 7D action, Brent Pennington has posted a full-range ISO comparison crop series using a real-world outdoor landscape scene as his pixel-peepiential subject. Read on to see what he saw!
In terms of availability, we have just refreshed the 7D stock-status matrix and the camera is shipping from three different retailers, while the 100mm hybrid-IS macro lens got its first token discount.
