Apple steals spotlight with new 7-hour MacBook, iMacs, multi-touch magic mouse
Today it was supposed to be the day the world of techies would look at the Canon 1D Mark IV, and the intriguing new $260 Barnes and Noble Nook e-reader device, but Apple had to jump in and steal the show with a new wave of products, including a seven-hour unibody MacBook, new iMacs [pre-order] and even a new multi-touch magic mouse. Already Engadget has one of the new $1000 unibody Macbooks in their hands and they posted the unboxing ceremony. Among other things, it gets an LED-backlit display, muti-touch track-pad, and remodelled Apple hubris ;-)
CNet summarizes the new iMacs, with one of them jumping to a quad-core processor, while the rest going for fast dual-cores. Intel of course. BluRay fans will be disappointed, but SD/SDHC fans will be thrilled.
