Zeiss Ikon 18mm f3.5 T* ZE finally coming for Canon

Lens announcements can drive people crazy since, unlike cameras, they come in installments. And it is even more frustrating for those who "must have" a new lens. But as they say, good things come to those who wait. And wait they did the Canon users, as now Zeiss has made the final announcement for the Canon version of their 18mm f3.5 T* ZE lens. The Nikon and Pentax mounts were announced in June 2008, while the pre-announcement for Canon was made in May 2009. The price is, as expected, in the early four figures and the lens will be released later in the fall of this year. The Nikon and Pentax versions currently go for around $1250.
