First Panasonic GF1 review is out (print edition of AP-UK)
The September-12 print edition of Amateur Photogapher UK includes the first review of the highly anticipated Panasonic GF1. If you are in the UK, you can run to your local newstand, but if not, Zinio comes to the rescue! You can LEGALLY purchase a digital version of the Sept-12 issue for $3.28 from e-magazine seller Zinio. Or if you prefer, you can get an annual digital subscription for 50+ issues for around $42. As you can see, unlike snail-mail delivery, the e-magazines are delivered in near real-time - the magazine went on sale in the UK on Tuesday, and it became available in the US on Tuesday as well.
It is a six full-page review, uninterrupted by commercials. The reviewer is Angela Nicholson. The review includes noise, dynamic range and color gamut charts, and an ISO crop "elevator" test all the way to 3200.
Because this is not available for free online, it wouldn't be fair to mention any of their findings. While we all want to find out as much as possible as soon as possible about the camera, as photographers, I am sure you understand the need for protecting other people's work.
The camera is available for pre-order in two standard kits (with 20mm pancake or 14-45mm zoom) for $900.
