Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 announced (and already shipping)
On the software front, Adobe has a new software package, version 8 of Photoshop Elements, and this time the version numbers for Mac and PC are in-sync!
Already, there is some previewing action on PSE8 in the photo-blogo-sphere:
+ 27-minute podcast dedicated to PSE8 with Derrick Story
+ Hands on preview post by Lori Grunin at CNet Crave
+ Press release at Imaging Insider
+ lots of information by Terry White
Already available for purchase/download for Windows users
If you are a Windows user, you can buy this right now directly from Adobe for $100. You can select a software box by mail, or immediate digital download. The software download is only for high-speed connections, as the software package is one gigabyte long!
They also have a $20 mail-in rebate you can submit, which would bring your effective price down to $80. The $20 mail-in rebate promotion is good until October 31st 2010.
If you are one of the super-early adopters who gets it right away, please feel free to post your first impressions in the comments below, or if you post them on your blog, please let us know and we'll add a link to them here.
