Sony Alpha A500 ISO comparison versus other Alphas

It is pixel-peeping time for the Alpha A500, just a few hours after its announcement. The first set comes from artaphot.ch, which compares JPEGs from the the A500 and other Alpha and Minolta DSLRs at the full ISO range. The lens used for this test was the Minolta 85mm f1.4 at f5.6.

This comparison is vigorously discussed in the dpreview Sony forum, with the photographer who created the tests responding to questions and requests (user: stevemark).
