Sony Alpha A380 gets the dpreview-review (ouch?)
It is not uncommon for die-hard fans of digital cameras to anxiously await and heavily lobby for the dpreview review of their favorite camera(s), but sometimes after their wish is granted, there is a collective "oh sh*t", or to put it more formally, "be careful what you wish for".
With that as a foreshadowing preface, here is the 32-page review of the Sony Alpha A380 at dpreview.com. As usual, there's plenty of pixel-peepiential material to examine and evaluate, including ISO comparisons (E620, D5000, T1i/500D), along with spec-sheet comparisons, and studio comparisons which include the aforementioned three dSLRs along with the Alpha A350. That and a whole lot more!
It is becoming more and more evident - based on currently technology, the sweet-spot for APS-C sensors is 12mp. Nikon got it early on, the rest of the manufacturers are still waiting for the memo.
