Samsung HZ15w gets its high profile review - now what?

Samsung has been trying for years to make a name for itself in the world of digital cameras. So far, they have been able to come up with unique and alternative designs, however, in many cases, the implementation continues to "lag" behind the offerings from the market leaders Samsung wants to dethrone. So, every time there is a review of a Samsung digital camera at one of the major camera review sites, it tries to answer the implicit question: "Did they catch up this time?".

And with that as along preface, here is the DC-Resource review of the Samsung HZ15w, a compact fun-zoom camera that is competing with the likes of the TZ7/ZS3 and Canon SX200is. As usual, we won't reveal the conclusions here, but if you are in a hurry you can jump to page #4 of the review!

The HZ15w (aka WB550) was announced in February 2009, and it is sitting in the line-up alongside the HZ10w.

The best prices at the moment for the HZ15w are $285 at Beach Audio for the standard kit, and $291 from Ace Photo Digital on Amazon for a kit that includes extra accessories such as 4gb SD, case, card-reader, mini-tripod, and other trinkets.
