New Olympus E600 Four Thirds DSLR is officially revealed!
Olympus has some breaking news! They have just revealed the previously rumor-leaked Olympus E600, a Four Thirds DSLR!

The announcement is just the E600, there are no new Four Thirds lenses or anything else new.
As we speculated in the previous post, this is likely squeezing the E450 out of the US market, and perhaps may explain why Olympus USA is offering them in refurbished two-lens kits for a mere $420 at Adorama. And yes, that prompts the question, what was Olympus smoking? :-)
The Olympus E600 in a nutshell
+ 12mp 4/3rds sensor
+ sensor-shift image stabilization
+ similar to existing E620 (diary, reviews)
+ 2.7" (230K) rotating LCD display
+ takes xD and CompactFlash memory-cards
+ no DSLR video
+ uses existing BLS-1 battery
+ ships with 14-42mm (4/3rds) lens for $600 (November-ish)
