You can check out the Leica M8.2 for $50 per day

We were reading about the launch of "We Are Photographers" on the Imaging Insider, and from there, we hopped on the website of Keeble and Shuchat. We checked out their rental prices (look for the "Rental PDF" link on their page), and we noticed that you can rent a Leica M8.2 outfit for $50 per day. The outfit includes the M8.2, the 35mm and 75mm Summarit lenses, battery, charger, SD card and reader, along with a camera bag for this price. We contacted K&S to make sure this is the current price, and they have indeed confirmed it!

So if you are looking to check-out the M8.2 before committing to a purchase, this is a very low-risk approach. Or if you have a website or blog or if you are a frequent contributor to a photography forum, this is a good way for you to test out the camera and post your first-impressions and sample pictures.

This is ideally suited for photographers living within driving-distance from the K&S store in Northern California. They also offer rentals by mail-order, however they have stricter requirements (credit-card charge on full value as a safety net) and S&H fees for out-of-town renters.
