Suffragette City: We need more female camera reviewers

Share/Save/Bookmark

It is no secret, that if you browse through the various digital camera review sites, you will find that the majority of the camera-reviewers are male. It would be nice if we had a more balanced mix of reviewers, thus bringing more diversity of opinion into the mix. Sure, some may bring up the Mars/Venus theories, but I'm sure there are plenty of female photographers/gearheads that when given the opportunity they would be very interested in being digital camera reviewers.

You will find female camera reviewers at a few websites (eg Photo Review Australia, CNet, Photo.net, etc), and at some of the print-magazines, but if you look at the dozens and dozens of camera review sites, there is simply not enough diversity.
