Nikon roadmap, Thom Hogan style (speculation and predictions)

Following the wishlistic roadmap, Nikon super-guru Thom Hogan went into the lab, threw all the available Nikon data into the mix, and come up with a realistic Nikon roadmap. Please note that this is a mix of speculation and predictions, it is not a rumor or a leak. I hope this translates well for people who are using computer-translators to read this blog.

He talks DSLR bodies and lenses mainly. The new Nikon D4 and D400 power-duo is listed in 2011 and beyond, unlike the wishlistic roadmap that had everything coming out in 2010. He has also posted a "where to spend $2000" on the front page of his site, and a new non-SM tutorial. I see the need for a new educational blog here, "The Disciplined Photographer"!

We thinks that the speculation of a D700X coming out later this year may be music to the ears of Nikonians who are not interested in DSLR-Video and not interested in high-megapixels. Because such a development may lower the price of new/used D700 cameras, and that may be the only full-frame dSLR you will ever need ;-)
