Fuji F70 EXR compact-zoom leaked (S200fs coming too?)
While on "forum patrol" we noticed some excitement in the Fuji Talk forum. A new Fuji F70 EXR compact-superzoom digital camera appears to have shown up at Slovakian website Zive.sk (computer-translated). A five-page discussion of this is under-way at the popular german forum dslr-forum.de.
This surprisingly-named camera will not be a sequential update to the Fuji F-series, but it will be jumping on the "fun-zoom" bandwagon, SuperCCD-EXR-style! And the sensor will be slightly larger but not by much, it will be allegedly 1/2" at 10-megapixels. Most "fun-zooms" are currently in the 1/2.3" to 1/2.5" range. The lens will be allegedly 27-270mm (10X), giving a wide-to-tele telescopic option. Picture below from Zive.sk.
What about the Fuji S200fs?
The S200fs is mentioned in the above threads, but there is no smoking-gun like the F70fd. There is a very brief mention of it at the Photo Camel forum.
One Chinese-forum, DCHome.net says 14mp 2/3" SuperCCD, but we cannot tell if this is a rumor or wishlist. The "F430" you see in the thread is actually a user-name, it is in the cyan-shaded area of the page.
This would be following up on the Fuji S100fs which had a promising start, but its starting price and availability of affordable DSLRs with larger sensors and faster operations prevented it from becoming popular among the enthusiasts which it was targeting.
