dpreview reviews the Canon TS-E 24mm f3.5L II lens
Sometimes photographers may have the wrong perspective, which is why camera manufacturers try to control their perspective with ...perspective control lenses ;-)
Silly intro aside, one of the two new Canon TS-E lenses that was revealed earlier this year is getting a surprise-review at dpreview by their resident lensaholic Andy Westlake. Yes, there are a lot of talented singers at dpreview, Westlake, Richard Butler, etc. As usual, we won't spoil their conclusions, which you can find on the last page, along with the full-size sample pictures.
The lens in question being the Canon TS-E 24mm f3.5L II, and it has a price tag of $2200, $1000+ more than the current price of its predecessor (version I). A quick-check at the four major retailers shows this lens out of stock across the board (including Amazon), while the best price for the previous version (I) is $1150 at Adorama.
