Bite-size thoughts on the Tamron 60mm f2 lens
One of the reasons why the websites of a number of traditional photography magazines are having a hard time "breaking out" in the online world is because they treat web content the same way they treat magazine content where you have to squeeze everything in just a few paragraphs because that's all the space available on the printed-page. Needless to say, the internets can handle thousands of paragraphs ;-)
A great example is this first impressions post on the Tamron 60mm f2 lens at Shutterbug. This is a lens that many people are interested or at least curious about. It's not often that you get a 60mm f2 lens, and an "APS-C" one at that. People would love to get as much information as possible.
Shutterbug had the lens in their hands and all they could manage to post (other than the specs and such) is a few sentences and a 450-pixel image.
