Yanns Arthus Bertrand's new video-project Home has gone live on YouTube
The french blog Pixfan.com reminds us that Yanns Arthus Bertrand's new project "Home" has gone live today, June 5, 2009.
The complete 93-minute video is available at the project's YouTube page. It is highly recommended to watch this at full-screen, as they have made it available in HD. This is a pro-planet, pro-nature video, so if you are more aligned with the oil companies or get annoyed when someone mentions "global warming", you may not enjoy this.
(Update: The video using the YouTube embed code is not working, so we removed it)
You can also watch a 15-minute talk by YAB at the TED Conference.
Yanns's work includes the "Earth from Above" projects (see them at Amazon), along with the photographer-favorite "inside baseball" book "Being A Photographer", which includes a DVD with a behind the scenes documentary. You can find the book for as low as $4 (plus S&H) at Abebooks.com, but if you are interested in finding out whether the DVD is included in their copy of the book and it is in playable condition be sure to ask the sellers to check for you.
