The Canon T1 (aka 2000D) chatter picks up some steam

Canon Rumors has a new set of rumored specifications for what looks like it is going to be the replacement for the XS (1000D) [reviews]. This appears to be a "Robin" to the "Batman" T1i/500D [reviews] as you can see from the rumored specs at CR. One thing that is rather disappointing if it turns out to be true is that 15mp is just too much for an entry-level DSLR.

For those keeping score, the XS/1000D was announced in early June 2008. As always, we'll find out ...when we find out :)
