Picture #6000 in the flickr pool!

We celebrate every one thousand picture milestone of pictures submitted to our/your flickr pool by readers like you!

We now have picture #6000 in the books, it is a black and white picture from downtown Orlando, Florida, by photographer Bill Beebe. Check it out! The picture was taken with the Olympus E3 and the 12-60mm lens. You can learn more about the photographer by checking out his blog and his aforementioned flickr stream.

The flickr group and pool were created for the express purpose of showcasing pictures of our readers. We use flickr widgets to showcase pictures submitted to the pool on the front page of the blog (always below the second blog post), occasionally in the right-sidebar in the "Sponsors/PSAs" spot, and also rotating on the front page of the newly revitalized Old Blogspot blog.

But that's not all, we also feature links to newly added pictures that catch our attention in our noisy Twitter page.

Being a camera/photography blog, we are extra-sensitive to the way we are showcasing pictures. All the pictures shown here are through official flickr widgets. We do not store the pictures on our servers. The only way pictures are shown here is if someone intentionally adds them to our pool. Photographers can remove their pictures at any time by simply removing them from the flickr pool. It's all done automagically through flickr.
