Panasonic GH1 test results at IR, G1 samples at Focus Numerique
The numbers are in! Imaging Resource has posted their full technical test results for the Panasonic GH1 in their on-going review page. The review is not finalized yet, but their regular lab tests are completed. Be sure to also check the various sub-tabs (second row) in their Exposure page. Thanks to our reader Massimo (flickr gallery) for the tip!
Next, we move to the GH1's more affordable cousin, the G1, which gets a series of sample pictures that will be part of the upcoming Focus Numerique review. Full-size real-world JPEGs are available for download, but please drink their bandwidth responsibly.
On the G1 front, B&H Photo has added G1 two-lens kits for $900, with the two lenses being the 14-45mm and 45-200mm, both M43rds lenses. With the 45-200mm dropping to around $270 on its own, this means that the 2-lens kit is the best deal unless you can find the G1 kit (with the 14-45mm) for under $630. As far as I recall, the bottom for these was established around $620-$630. The current lowest reputable price is around $630 at Adorama (blue $630, red $640, (black $700); add to cart to see prices).
